Enchanted-synopsis

Seventeen years ago, Manette Alicia Walker was pregnant and engaged to be

married.

On the day of her wedding, the groom pulled a no show and she was left

standing at

the altar. Still reeling from that humiliation, after carrying her child to

term, Manny

delivered a stillborn baby girl, further devastating her. Though it

took a while, Manny

managed to pull her life together and move forward. Today,

she is the business

manager and part owner of the ready-to-wear-store of

Exterior Motives. Her family

feels that at thirty-six, it is long past time for Manny

to marry and settle down, and

while Manny maintains that she is looking for love,

her insecurities and trust issues

with men are working at opposing ends.

Despite his wealth and love of the job, thirty-eight-year-old Detective

Christopher

Coltrane Mills is a man on a mission. At the age of ten, he saw his

father (also a law

enforcement officer) shot and killed in the street. Two years

later, Christopher

became an orphan when his mother (who was unable to cope

after his father's murder)

took her own life. He spent a year living in the county

orphanage before the parents

of Nelson Reeves rescued and took him in.

However, Christopher had already learned

to close off his feelings, a personality

trait he still carries to this day. Christopher has

spent his entire adult life

hunting the man responsible for his father's murder and had

put his life on hold

with regard to relationships. That is, until he met Manette Walker

and she

somehow broke through the barriers he'd built to keep women from getting

too

close.

Manny Walker and Christopher Mills are in love. They have shared an exclusive

relationship for over two years. However, both have reasons for not sharing the

full

extent of their feelings for one another. Manny and Christopher are in love,

but

internal and external forces may be working to keep them apart.

Unbeknown

to him

Manny sees Christopher on a date with another woman,

which gives her a

convenient

excuse to break off their relationship, something

he neither

understands or wants.

Though he's done his best, Christopher is

unable to keep

the depth of his feelings

hidden from Manny.

Manny and Christopher are in love, but it is a love that they may not get to share

fully explore. Christopher is close to capturing his prey and the danger to him

has

escalated. Although Manny doesn't know the specifics of the case, both are

very

much aware that he may not walk away from the encounter alive.
