| Writers Are Often Advised To Write What They Know. So I ask the question: Is There Truth in Fiction? (See Contest Question Below) A Request For Closure is a fictional tale about three friends who came of age during the era of the 70s. Although readers will choose Arianna, Jazmin or Paige as their favorite, one or more of their stories has its basis in truth. One of the main character's (Jazmin, Paige, or Arianna) story is mostly true (85%-90%). One of the main character's (Jazmin, Paige,or Arianna) story is half true (45%-50%). And one of the main character's (Jazmin, Paige, or Arianna) story is a total work of fiction (100%). Contest Question: On the entry form below for EACH of the main characters (Arianna, Jazmin, and Paige), please identify if their story is mostly true, half true, or a total work of fiction, and include at least two specific examples from the book to help explain the reason(s) why you feel this way. Sample of a partial entry: I believe Paige's story is mostly true because in the book it says ?? and ?? happened and I know someone just like Paige so these are things I believe could have happened to a real person. * The winning entries must include answers for all three main characters named above. |
